Olipa kerran varas, joka varasti kylältä jauhosäkin ja
aarteen.Varas juoksi karkuun takaa-ajajiaan ja päätti kätkeä jauhot
ja aarteen matkan varrelle hakeakseen ne myöhemmin. Mies jäi
kuitenkin lopulta kiinni, mutta aarteen sijaintia hän ei suoraan
koskaan paljastanut. Kuolinvuoteellaan mies kuitenkin kertoi
seuraavanlaisen tarinan:
"Juoksin pimeässä karkuun polkua pitkin ja putosin louhoksen
päätyyn, jossa huomasin oudon puun. Tästä vaakatasoisesta puusta
kasvoi pystysuoraan yli ranteenpaksuisia puita määrä, jonka painoin
mieleeni. Jatkoin matkaani polkua pitkin kohti pientä jokea, ylitin
sen siltaa pitkin, jatkoin alavirtaa kohti ja päädyin toiselle
sillalle, jossa oli sattumalta sama määrä lankkuja kuin mitä
oudossa puussa oli puita. Silta oli kuitenkin liukas ja luiskahdin
alavirtaan kohti koskea, enkä saanut kiinni ensimmäisestä kivestä,
joka osui kohdalleni, mutta sen jälkeisestä rykelmästä kiviä sain
kiinni ja henkeni pelastui. Painoin kivirykelmän kivien määrän
mieleeni ja kuulin jo takaa-ajajien äänet aivan kannoillani.
Juoksin polkua pitkin ylös rinnettä, kunnes tulin kohdalle johon
jouduin jättämään säkkini päästäkseni takaa-ajajiani karkuun.
Päätin jättää säkin luo vihjeen, jonka avulla löytäisin aarteeni,
jos joskus unohtaisin sen lopullisen ja tulevan kätköpaikan. Säkin
ja vihjeen piilopaikassa on yhtä monta isoa lohkaretta kuin mitä
oudossa puussa oli puita, ja säkkini on piilossa yhdessä niistä,
joka on haljennut yhtä moneen osaan kuin joessa oli kiviä. Jatkoin
tästä matkaani ja piilotin aarteen hieman kauemmas, mutta en
päässyt koskaan pois vankilasta aarrettani hakemaan. Sen verran
vielä vihjaan, että minä olen ketterä mies!".
Aarretta ei koskaan löydetty, mutta ehkä sinä olet onnekkaampi!
Kätkö voi olla hyvin vaikea, ellei jopa mahdoton, löytää
pimeässä tai talvella!

Once upon a time there was a thief, who stole a sack of flour
and a treasure from the nearby village. He ran away from the
villagers and hid the sack and the treasure somewhere along the
path he was running to collect them later. Finally he got caught,
but he never directly said where the treasure was. Then when he was
lying on his deathbed, he told a story:
"I was running away from the village following the path and fell
into end of excavation. Inside there I noticed a peculiar tree. In
this horizontal tree there was growing vertical trees a certain
amount, and that number I decided to remember. I continued the path
towards a small river, over a bridge and the path downstream and to
another bridge, which contained as many planks as the peculiar tree
had trees. The bridge was slippery and I fell into the river. I did
not reach the first stone, but I managed to pull myself out of the
river by grabbing a group of stones, which then saved my life and I
memorized the number of stones. Now I heard the voices of the
people who were after me, so I continued to run along the path
upwards the hill. I arrived to a spot where I had to abandon my
sack of flour to get rid of my followers and I decided to make for
myself a hint of the treasure location just to be sure how to
retrieve the treasure if I happen to forget the exact spot. In the
hiding place of the sack of flour there's as many large boulders as
there's trees in the peculiar tree and the sack is hidden in one of
them which has split in as many parts as there were life saving
boulders in the river. After that I continued my way a little
further and hid the treasure, but I never got out of the jail to
collect my treasure. And one more hint for you, I'm a man with good
dexterity!".
The treasure was never found, but maybe you have more luck!
Cache might be very difficult if not impossible to find in
darkness or during the winter!
