Laukkoskella ovat asuneet ja viettäneet kesiään monet kuuluisat näyttelijät ja kirjailijat. Muun muuassa Mika Waltari on kirjoittanut suurimman osan tuotannostaan Laukkoskella olevassa huvilassaan.

The beautiful landscapes of Pornainen have provided a setting for many Finnish films. The scenery has also attracted a number of artists; for example Mika Waltari wrote most of his works at his summer place in Laukkoski.
