This cache hunt has a location, clues and cache box contents that have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
The location is nothing special but not necessarily easy to find.
The cache box contents originally were a collection of Kinder Egg toys, donated by my three kids who also helped set this cache
The clues were as a result of chatting to a friend (who I later went on to marry ) and realising her name is a set of Roman numerals, that gave me the idea for setting this puzzle cache – so, the numerical answers will be found from words (not numbers) at the clue locations.
Each word or set of words will have one or more of the Roman numerals I, V, X, L, C, D, and M.
All you will need to do is add up the numbers to get a total.
note : do not use combinations of letters to make different numbers, use each letter separately and then total them up
i.e RIVET = 6 (I+V) not 4 (IV)
The clues below will give you a word or sentence that you need to find (you will see in brackets how many words/letters you will need i.e. (2/13) is 2 words, 13 letters) if you see an abbreviation , ignore it - i.e. & is not AND for the purpose of this puzzle, ignore it
Location 1 – N 51 12.498 E 000 18.214 – Why is Barclay Avenue not for the public ? (2/11) = ABC
Location 2 – N 51 12.512 E 00 18.254 – CATV cover, what sort of dwelling ? (1/10) = DEF
Location 3 – N 51 12.536 E 00 18.294 – No cars or bikes - but for special cases ? (3/15) = GHJ
Location 4 – N 51 12.520 E 000 18.290 – In memory of Reg James ... ????? (5/23 - ignore the & ) = KLMN
The cache can be located at
N 51 (D+J)(E+K).(N-L-G)(G+H)(K+L)
E 000 (F+M)(C+K).(A+D)(L+B)(G+K)

For caches hidden in the month of October 2004 - as of March 2022 there are only 42 still active in the UK (was 47 in March 2022), however this is the only remaining active cache in Kent that was hidden in that month and one of five in the south east
Thanks go to Gumbleygang who adopted this cache between 2017 and 2022 which has enabled this oldie to keep going
