Geocache Description:

Situated ON the Dingle Way overlooking the Strand at Inch. 5-10 min uphill walk from parking area. There should be no need to leave the dingle way which can be poorly signed and overgrown in places.

The cache is a plastic tupperware box and contained originally: An I love Ireland Eraser. A roll of sellotape. An anchor shaped sandcastle mould. A Postcard of the Dingle. A Blasket centre visitor guide- well worth visiting. A tide table of the Dingle Shells from the Strand. £1 coin. We placed this whilst on holiday at Inch, we were going to place it on the strand, which is the setting of the film Ryan's daughter, but couldn't find anywhere suitable. We then came across this place whilst wandering along the dingle way. If it has been raining part of the path becomes a stream so you either need wellies or walking boots but if its dry it should be ok.You can park at the beach car park ( N52 08.537' W009 58.884') and walk up the road to the turn off marked Lios Dana where there is also parking on the coast side of the road(N52 08.556' W009 59.012'). A short walk up the road and you will hit the dingle way (there are little yellow signposts marking it), alternatively you can follow the dingle way on foot. There are great views across the sea and the strand. Whilst you're here its worth looking along the strand (you can drive your car along it but be careful!)Please enjoy the views and post pics with your log. Please note that you don't need to leave the dingle way to find this cache.
