A night only cache. You will need a good flashlight or headlamp. The container is a camoed peanut butter jar.
This cache is not at the posted coordinates, and it is to be done as a night cache. Go to the posted coordinates in the dark with a good flashlight. Stand facing south-southwest, and point your flashlight toward the park entrance sign. You will see a couple of orange trail tacks, they are reflective. Go to that location. From there look for the next tacks, etc. The trail tacks are arranged vertically in pairs. The fourth set of tacks are the location of the cache. At no point will you need to cross the creek, river, or the roadways. The tacks will be difficult to find during daylight. I placed the cache on a day when the Spring melt was going full force, and there were areas where good rubber boots are required. Oct 1, 2011. The cache is well up at a winter friendly height, and the waypoints have also all been raised as the rose bushes, thistles, and scrub has all grown a fair bit higher this year than ever before.
