Geocache Description:

This cache is called "Summer Shortcut" because the road it is on is only open to vehicle traffic during the summer months (from about Memorial Day to Halloween). The road is closed in the winter months since the incline is steep and has a one lane bridge. However, even when the road is closed in the winter, you can still access by foot and walk this road, so this cache is available year-around. You will need to park near the river and walk to the coordinates (only about 100 yrds away). In the summer months, this can be a "high muggle" area, with swimmers cooling off in the river or people walking their dogs. Please be very cautious in retreiving this cache, as not to give it away. The idea for this cache came from a similar one I found in California. The cache has a log, and small pencil (but bring your own in case the lead is broken), and room only for a few small items (geocoins are ideal, and only very small travel bugs). Initially contains a whoopi cushion and a baseball keychain.
