While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Geocache Description:

Cache hidden on a popular viewpoint called 'Boes Utsikt' on Hisøy near Arendal.

The cache is a standard cache containing some tradable objeckts, and a Log Book. The container is a plastic container,
The cache is placed on privat land, as is most of the norwegian caches. On the tracks entering the area the owners have set up signs welcoming visitors on foot, discouraging bikes and horses.
The fine tracks in the area are former riding paths. At the summit, close to the cache you can find three metal rings bolted to the ground, used to 'park'your horse in former days.
There are lots of small ponds in the area, some of them deep, and some covered with ice in winter.
Keep an eye on your children (and dogs?).
You can reach the summit both from Flødevigen and Utnes. The area is called Heimarnes. Where the name Boes Utsikt (Boes View) come from I dont know. From the cache site you have a fine view towards the sea and the lighthouse Torungen.
You can easily make the trip a roundtrip instead of just a 'there and back again'.

Cachen er gjemt nær 'Boes Utsikt' på Hisøy utenfor Arendal. Parker enten i Flødevigen eller ved renseanlegget på Utnes. Det går fine stier fra begge steder til toppen. Det er også mulig å gå en rundtur i området. Det er flott utsikt mot Torungen fra toppen. Stiene i området er gamle ridestier, noe ringene i fjellet på toppen også vitner om. De er antagelig brukt til å binde hestene i.

Selve cachen er en plastboks med noen bytteting i.
