Add my name to the DNF list. I will be back.

Looked for about half an hour and came up empty. Lots of places to look. I'll try again some other day.
 October 18, 2009 by JEAEFAM (1498 found)
Tough hide! Thankfully father time has taken it's toll making this easier than it would have been in it's hay day. GPSr said 46' off which isn't usually too bad but this area has a lot of spots to check. TFTC
 August 31, 2009 by mdockman (267 found)
Spent about 30 minutes today with no luck. The 3 of us thought we had a good idea of what we were looking for.
 August 7, 2009 by ddlmac (405 found)
This one is tough. Found it on the second trip back.

We gave this one a serious look, but no luck. There are a lot of places to put a micro here.

Another try, another day...

Hard to find this one

Lots of places to look here. The previous logs were very helpful.

Finally discovered this one after several tries and ticks. TFTC!
 April 16, 2009 by bloom2511 (369 found)
Have made a few previous attempts at this one, and decided I better make one now before the trees leaf out. Glad to say I have finally found this one. Replaced the baggie as the existing one has seen better day. TFTC

TR Was Here and I came up short on this one. Saw a flock of turkeys though!. We'll have to try again.
November 22, 2008 by TR was here (1063 found)
Out with LZScout. A little snow on the ground but a great day to be out and about. Did find a sleeping woodchuck in a tree stump. Second DNF today. From the previous logs this looks to be a tough one. I'll be back!
 October 31, 2008 by dakotaKid35 (354 found)
Checked out a variety of likely spots - no luck.
 October 25, 2008 by seldon (1982 found)
On a delicious fall afternoon. Took quite awhile to find, ended up about 50' SE of GZ. Camo is in poor shape, log is damp. Nice hide, however!
 October 7, 2008 by incrediblemagpie (2138 found)
Truth be told this is at least my third trip here. At least on this trip there is a decent parking lot. The log is dry and the hide is good.
 July 4, 2008 by Kraethor (219 found)
Looked for this with Heartofthewolf at dusk, but we were being fed upon by the local mosquito flock and losing light fast.

We will try again during the day, and bring some DEET to keep the locals off us.

 May 18, 2008 by Orange&Blue (879 found)
We usually don't have much success with caches that haven't been found in awhile, but decided to stop here anyway on our way home from Rosemount. Almost quit after Orange made a dramatic faceplant near GZ (my elbow probably isn't broken) but then ended up spotting the log book somewhere between pfalstad's coords and the posted. This thing has seen better days, but we could still admire the effort that went into the log. Bonus find: we were rewarded with a sampling of Morchella on the way back to the car. TFTC!

NO luck on this one. Maybe try again.

No luck for me today.
 January 8, 2008 by ren63 (574 found)
I thought That I understood the clue and really expected to find this one. Maybe too much snow? I did several other nearby with easier ratings and the snow really made those a lot harder.
 October 22, 2007 by thecanoeman (377 found)
I finally found it after three or four attempts. Nice hide! This is one of my favorite parks.

DNF
 September 19, 2007 by thecanoeman (377 found)
Looked for a least a half hour. Had no luck. I will be back and see if pfalstad's coordinates help.

I discovered this GREAT park in April of 2005 while doing the "Park in Danger" cache. I have been back many times for hiking and exploring with the dogs.

 August 25, 2007 by DeltaMikeAlpha (3680 found)
This was the first cache I stopped by this morning and searched for a while before giving up. Didn't want to stick around after I saw the temporary structure and felt I might be close to someone's "summer" residence. Came back later in the afternoon after I realized there were two sets of coordinates and found out that I need'nt have worried about the shelter. Found the cache somewhere in between the two sets of coordinates and really enjoyed the find. Not that's what I call bushwacking although I never seemed to stray more than 50 ft from tyhe path the entire time. TFTC!
May 16, 2007 by The Sandbagger (1176 found)
It took a while but I made the find. The funny thing was while I was looking for the cache some guy, who probably lives up the hill came down and mowed the path. At this time I was far enough back in the woods so he didn't see me. Great cache.
 May 4, 2007 by GreenElva (301 found)
I enjoyed the effort you put into this one
 May 4, 2007 by cubfood (172 found)
Went out with GreenElva and found the cache...technically she found it. TFTH
 April 21, 2007 by GeoChipper (800 found)
Success! I looked for this cache a few other times without luck. Today, with the sun shining bright I found the cache. The alternate coordinates posted by one of the other cachers helped. Very creative hide by the way! Thanks.
April 20, 2007 by Prazak Clan (155 found)
1st find if the evening. Out with 442 Guy & 442 Gal. 2nd go at this one, determined to find it! We thought a Spoiler from a previous log would make it easier, but not until we found it did it make sense. Very creative hide! Even had an on-looker up on his deck watching.
 February 22, 2007 by mgssrs (10 found)
It took two times but I found it. The only way I found it was the duct tape. Nice job.
January 14, 2007 by Prazak Clan (155 found)
3 people seaching today and no luck! So many places to look! Will try again next weekend and try to use the fellow geocacher's logs to help us out.
 January 5, 2007 by KBayNPapaBear (1855 found)
KBayNPapaBear found it...(after a tip from pfalstad)
That was a very tough one, as they are doing a lot of logging in that area. Hard to walk, hard to look.
Great cache!!
 October 27, 2006 by cjasov (778 found)
Third times the charm. Didn't have pfalstad's new coordinates, so when I came across the cache still 20+ feet from where the GPS was pointing I was a bit surprised. This was a great hide. I'm thinking of doing something similar and so I now know what challenges this type of hide can provide a cache seeker. TFTC
 October 25, 2006 by pfalstad (4145 found)
I got to ground zero and within two minutes I was going to leave, because it was too dark and there were too many places to look, and I forgot a pencil.. I was wandering around aimlessly towards the trail without even looking at my GPS and I spotted a huge red flag, which turned out to be the cache.. And it had a pencil in it! What luck. Great container! TFTC.
 October 5, 2006 by cjasov (778 found)
Tried again to find this one, but no luck. Maybe too much leaf cover yet to get a proper reading; GPS was bouncing around quite a bit, lots of area to look, so maybe I just didn't look in the right spot.
 July 15, 2006 by HJBilge (462 found)
After reading the cache info thoroughly, and scanning through all of the logs, I thought I knew exactly what to look for. I found it quickly today, although it was a little ways off from where I had been doing most of my searching earlier. TFTC!
 June 4, 2006 by HJBilge (462 found)
It was definitely more challenging searching today than it was in the winter, but in both cases, I came up empty handed.
 May 21, 2006 by TECGeoJim (3446 found)
I was caching in the neighborhood and stopped to pick up the PA geocoin.
 May 20, 2006 by Team Rocket 4 (663 found)
PA coin drop.
 May 20, 2006 by Team Rocket 4 (663 found)
After obsessing over this one all winter after a fall DNF, I finally found my way back out to the cache site. I was pretty sure I knew what I was looking for but still needed a hint from Zoejam72 at the Breakfast Buddies Event. Left PA Geocoin.

TFTC Sui!

 May 19, 2006 by jREST (6295 found)
That was a cool hide, leaves popping out and bugs sprouting like the leaves made the signal bounce pretty good. I was happy to score this one with FSU*Noles and down the trail we went. TNLNSL - TFTC
 May 19, 2006 by FSU*Noles (7848 found)
One of seven afternoon finds, caching first with jREST then later with Zoejam72 for some group-cachin' fun - this one's been on my watchlist forever, and playing hooky with jREST was the perfect excuse to come look for it. This one was tricky, we were bumbling around back there for a long time, with nothing to show for it but a few mosquitos bites and a close encounter with some nettles. But persistence paid off, as jREST had the mojo workin' today! Very nicely hidden cache, and worth the wait. TNLNSL, TFTC!
 April 18, 2006 by aceboy (51 found)
look at that spot were it was hiddin about 3-4 times and i was like naaa. and it was there uh. i got to look better.tftc
 April 18, 2006 by Poker+Chip (63 found)
I don't even want to get into why it took so long for us to find this one. Aceboy got some help from sg and we were on our way. DOH!! Why didn't we see this one! This day was certainly an eye-opener for us. Alas, we soon had to close them as we were feeling an approaching spring rainstorm. After re-re-re-reading the cache description it was one of those V8 slaps to the head and a wimpy whine for good measure. TFTC!
 April 12, 2006 by Poker+Chip (63 found)
Came here for the fourth time thinking I knew where it would be after reading some of the logs. Instead I was disappointed for the fourth time. I think I've checked every nook and cranny, especially the crannies... one of the nooks was occupied by a small furry critter! I think he/she was real so I didn't check any orifices.
 February 20, 2006 by HJBilge (462 found)
Spent about 20 minutes looking, right around sundown. I decided to leave this one for another day, since I had more I wanted to get to tonight.
 December 25, 2005 by GeoChipper (800 found)
The dog and I just couldn't find this today. Too much snow, perhaps?
 November 22, 2005 by Team Rocket 4 (663 found)
Spent a good hour looking for this cache after work tonight with no luck. I think I am going to have to read the logs more closely and widen my search area.
 October 16, 2005 by Celticwulf (649 found)
Went out today to try again, and yes, it's still out there. Very nice hide, took a while to spot it, to the point that my crew actually grabbed it and went "naw, that isn't it" and kept looking ;) Luckily I double checked :)

TFTC!

 October 10, 2005 by Celticwulf (649 found)
Was feeling good after finding "A Yellow Hydrant?" so ran over to try for this one...too bad I started later than I should have and didn't bring a flashlight. GPS said I was in the right place twice (two different areas about 20' apart) but just didn't have any luck.

One thing of note, you may want to check on this one. Looks like the big storm we had a week ago took out a few of the trees in the area with lightning, so a lot of the area is covered in fallen trees/branches. I will plan on heading back to try for this one again (very nice area) but thought you may like to know.

 August 27, 2005 by knowschad (4508 found)
This was my day for sui generis caches. This one took a while because, as others have mentioned, the reception isn't very good. I got it by repeatedly going back out to the main trail, far enough down so I could get my speed up to 2 or 3 mph by the time I returned to the general vicinity, and *quicky* following the needle in. Got it on my 3rd try.

As somebody posted, the container is showing great wear and is feeding a good many buglets. The inner container is missing an endcap, yet the log was dry and I had no problem signing it. Great concept, but probably due for an overhaul soon. Enjoyed it very much... thanks!

 August 4, 2005 by TeamSpider3 (835 found)
Alas, our only DNF on our Eagan adventure. We weren't fully equipped (needed gloves, poker things, etc.), and looked for about 30 min, including cracking the hint. Anyway, thanks for the hunt, even if we didn't find it.
July 31, 2005 by Scott Johnson (203 found)
We searched for 30 minutes today...looks like other people have been trampling grass also. Horrible day for Satelite locks...EPE was 125' ... said we were there...but no joy.

 July 4, 2005 by U-guys (218 found)
Good hide but I think we damaged it slightly before we knew what it was. TFTC
 July 4, 2005 by sunnydayz (39 found)
Wow! I am impressed... Twas very well hidden! TFTC
 July 3, 2005 by Plem45 (403 found)
Very clever container. Took awhile to locate due to the gpsr jumping around in the tree cover. I think maybe the coordinates are a little off. I finally found it about 50' from the area where my gpsr said I should be looking. My dad was out too and his gpsr agreed with mine. We both searched an area probably 50' in diameter and then as we were about to give up, I noticed something odd off in the distance a bit. The container was ant infested and seems to be deteriorating. I brushed all the ants off but I am sure they will get right back in there. TNLNSL TFTC This is one of my more memorable ones while visiting from Virginia.
 May 20, 2005 by BB&D (153 found)
Tried this one last fall with no luck, and we were not looking forward to leaving empty handed todayafter a lengthy search. GPS bought us to the same spot this time, which was not that close to the cache, but we prevailed. The cache was covered with ants, but not the biting kind like the ones in the season finale of CSI, wiped them away and signed log. TFTC

Coin drop. Bart's milage tracker.

This was a tricky little hide. I should have found this one on the FIRST trip. TNLNSL
 April 3, 2005 by RubberToes (2725 found)
At long last. I've stopped by here at least 5 times in the last 6 months, and I've left empty handed each time. Turns out I was never looking anywhere near the correct spot. For some odd reason GPSr reception in the area is strangely erratic.

Today I gave up the hunt again, prepared to go home and ask for help narrowing the focus of my search, but Mrs. RubberToes, who was on her first visit here, was reluctant to leave. So, we stood and surveyed the area for a bit, and then, at the same instant, we both saw something that merited further investigation. Moments later, we happily signed the log. Very nice hide.

This was not easy. Gave up a couple of times, walked 20 feet and looked back and count not leave. Clever hide and thanks.

I keep coming back here and looking, and I keep coming up empty. One of these days I'll figure it out.

(15:38) Clever hide. Find number 1500 for me. WOOT!

As the saying goes, third times the charm. Came to the park for a walk on a nice winter night and to find a cache that has eluded us twice before. Widened search area after reading other posts and finally found success. Glad we found it before more snow comes. TFTC
 January 19, 2005 by MN_Cavepeople (1752 found)
I had a feeling I knew what I was looking for and I turned out to be right. Spotted it right away. I had thought about doing something similar with a hide too. Very well done! Had trouble getting the log book back in the container, it just wasn't cooperating with me tonight.
Thanks!

12:15 PM Fifth cache of the day. Out caching with Zoejam72.

Had my own ideas on this one before I got there. I was close, but my idea wasn't exactly right. Zoejam spotted the cache just before I did, but I'm sure I woulda got it anyway.

TFTC Sui! Your caches never cease to amaze me.

This cache was not what i expected it to be. Oh well, I guess it is better not to have over-thought some of the caches. TNLNSL. TFTC!
 October 15, 2004 by Gustobob (1396 found)
I come out to this cache convinced that I knew exactly what I was looking for. 30 minutes later I wasn't so sure. A little while later and I decided that I was done. As I was leaving I saw something that didn't quite look right. Minutes later I was signing the log book of a very well done cache. The cache was a little further east than I thought, but within reason. Oh, and by the way, my origninal guess was very close to correct! TFTC

Hey my luck has changed, just Haiku it, than I find Log Book...yeah. I have been here once before with no luck. Today after a 15 minute search I had my cache. Thanks Sui for the creative hide.

5:05pm--#620--I found this one right away, but then, I've had more than my fair share of creative hides to seek out lately. Nice park--this was my second trip to it in pursuit of a cache. One of these days, I'll check out the art house. Thanks for the cache. 15Tango

Went to take a look at the cache today. All is in good order.
 June 5, 2004 by TakeNotes (48 found)
I was here with another experienced cacher. We both looked all over. Did not find it. I recommend long pants for this adventure. I was wearing shorts, and hoping these weeds were not poisen ivy. But then it started raining, so we had to get out of there. Unfortunately, we took a wrong turn on the trails in the woods, and got tangled up. We discovered we had walked around in a big loop, and ended up where we had started. Oops. We finally found the correct trail. We got out of there just before the really heavy rain started.
 May 29, 2004 by Paklid (1122 found)
Well, it feels good to scratch this one off the list. I've been to this site maybe 5 times. Each time searching the same 40 ft or so radius from where my bouncy GPS averaged the hide location to be. I got a hint from "the magician" and got confirmed what I had suspected the nature of the hide to be. One extra shading was provided as well. Armed with the certainty that I really was on the right track, I ventured forth AGAIN. This time - about 55 feet from my search center - I found success. The summer tree cover makes for getting a reliable fix pretty tough. I'll have to learn to keep moving outward. Little ants seem to like living in the cache spot. While logging myself in, I dropped part of the cache container and spent a few minutes crawling around trying to find it (ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I THOUGHT I WAS DONE SEARCHING HERE). All is safe and sound, logbook is dry. Thanks for the cache.

I guess like the saying goes, I'd rather be lucky then good. In this case I guess I was both. Litterly tripped over it moving off the trail. Nice hide. Don't think I caused it any damage. Find number 708. TFTC
 May 16, 2004 by D-N-D (201 found)
Third of four today.
Has to be the hardest finds ive logged. Cheap gps, lots of trees, and 2 whining kids.Spent alot of time on too many big logs. Just as i was giving up, I said to myself, that thing looks a little out of place there, and there it is.
Excellent hide. Surely, worthy of that dificulty rating.

Thanks for the creative cache!
