Geocache Description:

I've never seen land eroding at this rate. This entire cliffside, which extends for at least a mile north of here, is (and rather quickly) sliding into Lake Michigan. Everytime I walk along here, it seems like more and more trees have fallen to the beach.

If you look up the hillside (please do not climb the hillside) you'll see wide crevaces where the soil is slagging away from the cliff.
The roots of the trees and grasses cannot hold the hillside in place.

There's several hiking trails at the top of the cliff that have recently dead-ended as the land slides away.

One might expect certain types of soil to be eroding like this. You probably wouldn't expect this soil type to be eroding this quickly.

To verify that you were here, email me with the physical description of the soil that's eroding.

And you wondered why your Dad always yelled at you to stop wasting water!
