This Geocache is hidden in part of the Greenbelt trail.
Whisper was originally a Letterbox hidden on July 5th, 1999. This box is located near a famous Long Island landmark. He is located where route 25 and 25A Join into one road. Take the Long Island Expressway to exit 55 North (Old Willetts Path). You will take this to Route 25 (Jericho Tpk) and turn right/east. You will pass underneath a train overpass, then you will see Whisper on your left. Continue past this intersection slowly because you will be turning left soon. First you will see a sign on your right, "Welcome to Smithtown". Continue up the hill and you will see a Super Stop & Shop on your left. Park in their lot, and walk west along the north side of 25A/25. You will follow the blue & white "H" (Hospital) signs going north/west around the bend. This is now route 25A. Soon you will see a pedestrian crossing sign on you right. Right after the sign, (N40 51.564 W073 12.788) go over the guard rail, you will now go down a trail. This trail is marked with white blazes. This cache is guarded by some sticker bushes, so be careful. If you have trouble removing the cache from its hiding place, look around to see if it can be removed another way.
