Geocache Description:

Park is open 9 to 5 (9 to dusk winter) and will be closed if conditions are icy, according to the signs. This is a wheelchair accessable cache, it is just off the pavement within arms reach . Read about the park and exhibits at www.grummanpark.org

This little out of the way memorial's main attraction is an F-14 Tomcat. The plane on exhibit made its first flight at the Grumman Flight Test Facility in Calverton on July 6th, 1979. There are now a couple of other exhibits in the park, with further expansion expected. The park is maintained by volunteers, and they've done a spectacular job! Take the kids and spend an hour looking at the exhibits!
