Geocache Description:

Big King, the sole survivor of the Three Kings volcano group, is now a pleasant park of hilly terrain and displays plentiful evidence of previous Maori settlement. The volcano group burst into life about 20,000 years ago with a series of violent eruptions forming a very large tuff crater about 1km across, its remnant rim now traversed by Mt Albert Rd in the south and Landscape Rd/St Andrews Rd to the north.
Multiple cones and craters formed a complex but short lived system, and the fluid nature of the Three Kings lava allowed it to flow down valleys as far as the ancestral Waitemata River, not far from Kauri Point on the North Shore.
Highest King and East King cones, and other smaller ones, have been destroyed over the past century by scoria quarrying. A huge hole in the ground to the east of Big King is the result of ongoing operations.

This cache is a 4 part multi, requiring you to obtain information to solve it (extracted from a now defunct Auckland City website): (visit link)
All waypoints and the cache are at S36° 54.sss', E174° 45.eee'
For waypoints 1-3, sss and eee are derived from numbers contained in the linked text, which you will need to access in the field.
The listed coordinates are for a carpark, a good location to begin your search.

WP1:
0ss = the number of volcanoes with one or more scoria cones that were in the Auckland volcanic field + 2
eee = the approx area of the Auckland volcanic field [sq km] - 5

Final contains only logbook and pen plus room for small TBs
