Geocache Description:

The White Lagoon is a mountain side lagoon/lake on the hill top overlooking the gorge created by the Aptos Creek.

The White Lagoon is quite a lake in the winter. It is a bit smaller during the summer months. It is a very peaceful, remote place.

It is a short hop off of the main fire road through the forest, on a side road, that few bikers or hikers take. In fact, the trail turns into a path at the lake, and bikers aren't supposed to continue past the site. Look for the turnoff that points to the Big Slide Trail.

This was also placed when I went to find Decacherata, one of my favorite places and hikes in these woods. This gives you a pleasant resting stop before taking the plunge down the Big Slide Trail to the Aptos Creek, in search of that one.

The cache is hidden on the SouthEast side of the lake, on a big stump. Let me know if your coordinates differ significantly from mine.

Note: the Nisene trail map does lead one astray here. You should not take the first left that you see. Just stay on the main road, and it will go right by the lake.
