Along the road to Mammoth Cave (or Mammoth Siding... also to Casuse
Mtn., Scorpion Pit and Twin Sisters), lies this cache for you to
find. I recommend 4 wheel drive if the weather has been wet. In
fact, if it has been too wet, I'd recommend taking a hike from near
the highway. This dirt road looks like it might get real sticky if
it gets muddy. Not big rig accessible.
This is a very obvious container, hiding in hopefully not so
obvious a spot. Slightly smaller than a coffee can, with room for
small trade items. Make sure to put the lid back on tightly. Not
wheelchair friendly; there is a little bit of scrambling over small
to medium rocks to find this cache.
Initial contents of cache: an assortment of a half dozen or so
key fobs/chains/rings, old and new, with a FTF award of a special
key ring with a small LED flashlight attached (batteries
included).
While you are in the area, check out the "Coyote Ridge" cache
across the highway and "Do THEY Know We're Here?" cache just down
the road a bit!
