On 10/4/08 visited cache and found someone else had changed the
cache, taking the small one and leaving a larger one in exactly the
same place. Interesting.
The increased size makes the cache much easier to
find.
You need to travel less than 300 feet from the parking area
either along the path close to the river, or starting out on the
Lewis and Clark bicycling/hiking path. Either one will get you
close, though the latter will require walking through some
underbrush, but has the advantage of being less muddy in wet
conditions.
This is a very easy, yet difficult cache. It is visbile without
moving any material, yet the exposed part is less than an inch.
There is a very defiinite contrast in color to the background.
Hence, do not disturb any follage or other material in the area.
Think, look, and have your 10 year old son or daughter find it as
he will not be inhibited by your set patterns.
If there is snow in the area, or the area is muddy, I
wouldn’t bother looking for this geocache. This cache is very
challenging. PLease note that it is listed as a #4 for difficulty.
It is not expected to be a quick find.
Since it is located near a marina, bicycle and hiking path, and
along the Hipple Lake bank, an area on the Missouri River, please
be careful of Muggles.
The cache location was averaged for several minutes and had an
accuracy of 12 feet. Many tall trees in the area may have affected
the reading, so email feedback directly to me on the accuracy or
your readings of the long/lat will be appreciated.

The nearby Lewis and Clark bike/hiking path winds its way along
the river toward a camping care called Farm Island, some 4 miles
away. The trail is packed gravel. The nearby marina provides
excellent protection for boats as well as sea planes.
Congratulations to Familygeo FTF.
