Most people probably don't know that one of the most controversial animated rabbits of all time, Br'er Rabbit, has a vacation hideout right here in Grass Valley. Our own Litton Trail happens to be one of Br'er Rabbit's local favorites, due to the ubiquitous briar patches scattered nearby (rubus fruticosus makes yummy eating in the summertime!).
Br'er Rabbit was observed near his hideout as recently as last week, taking in the local construction activity, and appearing very happy about the new (appropriately named) business being built within a short distance of his hideout.
Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear have been known to stalk Br'er Rabbit on his trips away from home, so keep an eye out for these Rabbit nemeses (perhaps near a future cache). Speaking of nemeses, if you're having trouble finding a place to hop off the Litton Trail to find the cache, Br'er Rabbit says to look for the big water pipe "tunnels" that he uses to quickly escape his local enemies....
