We swapped out the camera 80302 and updated images are online now at the Fort Jackson link: http://www.buriedtreasure.us/fortjackson.html Easy to get to, you can drive and walk to it and pick it up and harm nothing. We used an XS650 Yamaha motorcycle but any vehicle will do. ** Do not feed the mosquitoes! ** : )
This cache is near historic Louisiana Fort Jackson, about 70 miles south of New Orleans right on the west bank of the Mississippi river. Watch the speed limits on La Hwy 23, we saw several speed traps. The fort has an air conditioned museum filled with civil war artifacts, swords, guns, weapons, projectiles, you name it. It also has public rest rooms and soft drink machines. Great views of the river too.
