Parking can be found 50'to 60'away from WP-1 at the road side.WP-1 brings you to a benchmark there are two numbers on this benchmark you will need these to find WP-2 This is a five WP multi cache 1.5 Miles or so easy walk should be good for the kids. Maybe they will help you with the math.
Unkety Brook Geocache I grew up one mile from hear and use to walk, bike, and ride dirt bike in this area. It seemed to be a nice place to hide a cache. I have seen deer, fox, owls and lots of different Birds and water fowl in the area. If you look around you will find several old foundations, remains of houses from some time ago. I don’t know the history but it can be fun to look around. WP-2 latitude can be found by subtracting 00 00.ABC from WP-1 lat.(N42 40.959–00 00.ABC = New coordinates). ABC can be found by adding the numbers from the benchmark together (DEFG + HI) and subtracting 1943 from the result then divide by 1000 the result should look like N42 40.??? WP-2 longitude can be found by subtracting 00 00.XYZ from WP-1 lon.(W71 32.875–00 00.XYZ = New coordinates). XYZ can be found by subtracting the numbers from the benchmark (smaller from larger DEFG-HI) and subtracting 1767 from the result then divide by 1000 the result should look like W71 32.???. WP-2, WP-3, and WP-4 all contain coordinates to get you to the next WP We found Moose tracks in the snow wile placing the cache.
