The posted coordinates are bogus – do not go there!
The hunt starts from the electric post just north of the meeting
place of two well known composers. From here you measure off a
series of distances, in directions either true North, South, East
or West, until you arriving at some wording to note.
After each leg, you must change direction by 90 degrees.
You may not cross private property and the correct route is
not significantly obstructed apart from trees, fences etc,
although the terrain is steep in places. There is only one viable
route.
The point to point distances, in order, are 120, 170, 320, 480,
1050, 460, 960 and 827 metres, a total of about 4.4km.
Finally use the lettering to establish the decimal minutes of
the cache – the major coordinates are the same as for the
signage.
South: (P1 x P8) + P6
East : (P3 x P3 x P7) + (P4 x P7) + P8
The numbers above represent the Position count of the letters
which are to be converted to their ordinal alphabetic values.
Cache is a 250ml camo'd plastic jar with logbook &
