Geocache Description:

I have placed caches on several of the longer more demanding tracks in lower Northland and here is another on a new track opened in December 06. This is quite a demanding track

This track is a section of the Te Araroa Track see: (visit link)
The cache, a 500ml plastic jar with a few trinkets lies at point on the track where you will find yet another botannical novelty. It is approx 4.3kms in from the from north-eastern end of the track. (that might make the FTF seekers think twice?) For the extra keen you can walk right through to SH1 at the Dome Valley if some one will pick you up there. 13 kms, 5-6 hours. and collect KiwiGary's "Huff and Puff, what a view" cache on the way, as a bonus
The tree cover might make finding GZ a trifle difficult but the clues should sort you out.

I am sorry the container is relatively small and the swaps unexciting but this is a emergency geocache I carry on our weekly walks just in case.
Note: January 2009 As a further incentive there is now another KiwiGary cache (GC1KHWJ) Sitting by the Babbling Brook not to far away.
