This place was discovered because of the turkey problem in this area. There have been upwards of 200 turkeys in this neighborhood at one time! The Fish and Wildlife people have put net traps at the top of this hill to try to catch the turkeys alive and unharmed. They then release them elsewhere. One of the Gpsees' role in this endeavor was to come up here to spread corn to attract the turkeys to the net.
