The cache is located near the caves of Ajuy. Suggest parking in the
beach car park, see waypoint. Do have a look around the caves now
you are here. Take care walking to cache and caves, particularly
with children, as there are loose stones underfoot and uneven
paths, but there are handrails in places. Look for the stone marker
enroute to cache: TM ->.

Dieser Cache liegt in der Nähe der Höhlen von Ajuy. Bevorzugter
Parkplatz liegt am Strand (siehe Waypoint) Schau dich bei dem
Höhlen um , dann hast du ihn.
Sei Vorsichtig beim suchen, speziell mit Kindern,da es dort lose
Steine und unwegsames Gelände gibt ! Es gibt jedoch Geländer an
denen man sich anhalten kann. Schau auf die markierten Steine

The Caves of Ajuy:
Ajuy is a small, pleasant fishing village situated on the west
coast of the island and is a worthwhile inclusion in your
itinerary. The black sand and pebble beach is bordered north and
south by towering cliffs which give shelter to the village below.
The sea however, can sometimes be quite rough so be careful if you
have small children. The walk to the 'Mirador Caleta Negra' leaves
the beach on the right and goes up and around the rocks - it's all
clearly marked. There are some spectacular views of natural
limestone formations along the route, for all you budding
geologists, which rose up from the waters below millions of years
ago. You arive at one viewing platform and get excellent views
along the cliffs and the enormous caves. You can also take the
narrow steps down to the lower viewing point and in fact, the
adventurous can go right down to the bay and into the caves. The
first cavern ends at the sea at around 150m, while the second is
longer and darker, so bring a powerful flashlight if you plan to
explore it - and don't go inside if the surf is up. In the village,
there is a choice of excellent restaurants with fresh locally
caught fish being the predominant course (of course).

Die Höhlen von Ajuy:
Ajuy ist ein kleines freundliches Fischerdorf an der Westküste der
Insel und ist sicher ein sehenswertes eiseziel. Der schware
Klieselstein Strand grenzt nörtlich und südlich an die
hervorragenden Klippen welche dem Dort
schutz bietet. Das Meer kann manchmal auch ziemlich rauh sein bitte
sei speziell mit Kindern vorsichtig. Wenn du das Meer rechts lässt
und den gut markierten Spazierweg zum 'Mirador Caleta Negra'folgst
hast du eine tolle
Sicht über die natürlichen Kalksteinformationen. Du rreichst die
Aussichtsplattform die dir eine wunderbare Aussicht über die
Klippen und Höhlen bietet.
Du kannst aber auch den näheren Weg zum unteren Aussichtspunkt
wählen und das Abenteuer kann direkt runter zur Bucht und zu den
Höhlen starten. Die erste Höhle endet nach ca. 150 m am Meer,
während die zweite länger und
finsterer ist, also bring eine starke Taschenlampe mit wenn du
diese Höhle erforschen willst. Achtung nicht bei hohen Wellen in
die Höhle gehen !
Im Dorf gibt es sehr gute Möglichkeiten guten frisches lokalen
Fisch zu bekommen.
