Geocache Description:

This cache was placed on a new trail constructed by volunteers under the guidance of COSCA Ranger Bruce. There are ledgendary caches by Agouracharger on either end of the trail. The cache is a non-hanging decon container.

This 1.5 mile trail connects Reino Road to Via Las Brisas. From Las Brisas you can get on other trails in the Dos Vientos area of Newbury Park. It is a very cache rich area.

CORBA is a mountain bike organization with a volunteer trail crew that works to maintain trails in the greater LA area and when the opportunity arises, is only too happy to help build a new trail. They started work on this trail three years ago. SMMTC is an organization that functions as trails steward for the Santa Monica Mountains through corporation with the park agencies. These groups teamed up with COSCA Rangers to construct this trail and the final section was completed on March 24, 2007. Check out (visit link) for information on the COSCA trails.

This trail is a challenging mountain bike ride and has great views for all users. Parking on the east end is not very convenient because the traihead is behind a large storm retention complex. Street parking is available at the west end.
