| Seth & Eleanor: A day of geocaching
Seth had left the kitchen after breakfast. Eleanor thought of going geocaching again as Seth re-entered the room.
They discussed yesterday's challenging caches: a puzzle, a maze, rocks in a pile, a box on the edge of a cliff (they were actually two of our caches). Of all the difficulties, the height of the cliff had bothered Seth the most.
So they were ready for something easier today. They selected six new caches and decided it was worth re-establishing their old rule: No micros, no nanos, no rough terrain. Seth was the slowest to get ready but by nine am, they finally headed out.
The first cache was easy to find at the foot of trees (even if fallen leaves were covering the ammo box). The second and third were under URPs. The next cache was hidden in a tree in a natural hole covered by bark. Cache number five took a while to find, hidden in underbrush but they were glad to discover a beautiful bronze round geocoin with an image the Olympic rings (a kind of I've personally never seen before). The final cache was pretty much in the open. Seth and Eleanor were happy to cap this evening of geocaching (yes, it was getting late) with an easy find. They signed off the last log, tried to re-hide the box as best as they could and headed home.
Six caches, not a bad day for casual geocachers!
