Rookery?

The American Passenger Pigeon went extinct early in the 20th century after succumbing to extreme over-hunting, depletion of woodland feeding and breeding grounds and an outright slaughter for commercial sale.

Solving this cache will give you a new awareness of the impact humans can have on vast animals populations, the unfathomable numbers of Passenger Pigeons that once flew overhead and the incredible story of their demise.

Here are the questions to answer:
1. The last passenger pigeon died C/B/ACAF
2. The passenger pigeon received its binomial nomenclature in the year AKEE
3. The last massive slaughters of 50,000 birds a day at Petosky took place in the year AHKD
4. There are G songs written about the last passenger pigeon with her name in the title.
5. Stardate AJBI.A: Star Trek episode that likened the near distinction of planet M113's inhabitants to that of the passenger pigeon.

The cache itself is placed in Riverside Park. There are some curious structures in the very northwest corner of the park. One is an old pigeon house that you can step inside and just adjacent to it (on private property) is another similar rock structure, but that one is definitely an oven or kiln of some sort. Take the time to look at the ironwork on that one.

I have memories that go back 35+ years playing in this park at church picnics and school functions. There used to be a thirty foot nearly vertical rocket slide here that any local over the age of 20 will remember playing precariously on. There's a tribute to that structure built into the new playground which was built in 1990 with the help of school children and volunteers. My brother even lent a hand by hauling gravel for the base of the park.

PLEASE return the cache to it's exact hidden location. It should not be visible at first glance. I would advise that you retrieve the cache during periods of low muggle activity, though it is possible to do so without being noticed during periods of high muggle activity. Also, you should attempt this cache without any assisting device nor should you trespass to find one you can use.
