You are looking for an SILVER ammo box filled with gems.

This cache has been placed in recognitition of Gem Cachers 1000th Find! Extend your congratulations to Gem Cachers by finding the cache, signing the logbook and posting you "Found It" online. In keeping with the Chicagoland tradition, started by Fallenfaery and SpecialEd, we've placed this commemorative cache to honor Gem Cachers.

Gem Cachers has become a part of the Chicago Geocaching community. Driving all of the way from Central Illinois for weekend outings has earned him the nickname of "The Traveling Man'.

We figured that he would be right at home with the roar of the highways nearby and with his ability to navigate (shown on many times on our outings) it should be a simple matter for him to get to the spot.

Have fun! Jerry Gem. You truly are a Gem.

Love the spot, to bad all the near by trash has collected. Cache is in great shape. Used to play in these woods as a youngster between the ages 8-12. Had two good friends that lived on the cutoff. Wow lots of swag in this box. Took a pencil and a gem for luck left a hockey puck picked up at the "Family Cache" near Eagle River, WI. Swapped out travel bugs.

This one had been messing with us for some time--it was always on the other side of the highway!--until we finally broke down and looked at the map. Some pretty impressive property here. What was at the cache site in the past? We noticed some limestone foundation sort of work around there Is this some old CCC project>

Wow I really screwed this up when trying to log it, think I fixed it now.

Very cool idea honoring someone's accomplishment. I thought it was a shame how much trash has been dumped in this area. Left a book and took a diamond for luck. SL TFTC. If anyone knows what the little stone walls in the area are for please send me an email.
