A ideia desta cache surgiu porque o local é mítico e porque
apesar disso muita gente não sabe como lá chegar.
O passeio é óptimo para se fazer em família e com crianças a
partir dos 4 anos. Poderá fazer o percurso até à cache a pé (45
minutos para cada lado) ou de bicicleta (25 minutos para cada
lado). O trilho é bom, maioritariamente plano com pequenas subidas
e descidas e pedra solta nalgumas secções.
Para chegar à cache, dirija-se a Terras de Bouro. Daí à aldeia
de Covide e depois a Campo do Gerês. Do Campo chega facilmente à
barragem passando pelo Parque de Campismo da Cerdeira (vale a pena
uma visita). Chegando à barragem tem algum espaço para
estacionamento do lado de cá. Estacione e atravesse a barragem. O
trilho começa do outro lado e segue a linha de água da barragem
para a direita (os carros não passam só peões e bicicletas). A
distância total, ida e volta, rondará os 6Km.
Se fôr de Verão não esqueça os calções, a partir de Junho a água
estará a mais de 20 graus!

Bring your family and friends with you (children from 4 years
old will enjoy the adventure). You can hike (45 minutes each way)
or bike (25 minutes each way) to the cache. The track is quite
good, mostly plane, with small ascents and some loose rocks in
short sections. Half the way you will find a beautiful
waterfall.
To reach the cache site drive to Terras de Bouro. The go to
Covide village and after that to Campo do Gerês. From here is easy
to reach the dam passing by the Cerdeira camping park (it does
worth a visit and it is the place to drink or eat in the area).
Park the car just on the beggining of the dam. Then walking or
biking cross it and take the path to the right along the water
line. Total distance for the whole ride will be around 6Km.
In Summer time don't forget your bathing gear. From June the
water will be 20 degrees and above!
