Geocache Description:

The cache is not located at the above posted coordinates. You could try starting from there, but I wouldn't suggest it.

WHITE NOISE (definition) -- This is technically sound with a uniform frequency spectrum over a wide range of frequencies. Non-technically, white noise is any unobtrusive background noise, such as the hum of a fan, the sound of rain, or the sound of a channel that isn't coming in properly on an old television. Often white noise is imitated and generated to drown out other obtrusive sounds.

Tired of those darned puzzle caches? Tired of being slapped in the face by one code after another? Tired of fishing for answers from all your geocaching friends who are smarter than you? Tired of ASCII conversions from octal numbers, and UTM conversions from binary numbers? Tired of distances and bearings? Tired of realizing that you aren't watching the right TV shows JUST to solve a puzzle so you can go find a cache? Aren't you just plain old TIRED of all the hoops you have to go through just to add one more notch to your belt -- only to find the cache is on the top of some hill or mountain that you'll never get to, or in another county for that matter?

Well, I know I am!! My brain has become so fried with all these puzzle caches that I've begun to hear and see WHITE NOISE!! It has all just become a big blur -- nothing but static -- nothing concrete -- nothing I can put my finger on. Like a low hum in the back of my head. You've heard it before. It's that sound you hear BETWEEN your favorite radio stations. It's that roar you hear from traffic whizzing by on the freeway. It's that stuff on your television when you can't get those rabbit-ear antennas pointed in the right direction. It's all pretty much the same thing. Yep -- it's WHITE NOISE!! They even made a movie about it -- and called it "White Noise." It starred Michael Keaton. The title refers to Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP), where voices, which some believe to be from the "other side", can be heard on audio recordings. Did you see it? Nope, me neither!!

Click on the link below to download from my Dropbox folder a 10-second sample of both audio AND video white noise. It can be viewed using the QuickTime Player. It is a large file and may take some time to download on slower systems.

White Noise.mov or White Noise.mp4 -- DOWNLOAD either of the two movies DIRECTLY FROM MY DROPBOX SITE to view it on your computer -- DO NOT try to view it FROM the Dropbox website (it will NOT display correctly).

So, there you have it. WHITE NOISE. It's all around us -- all the time. In one ear, out the other. Have you had enough? I thought so. Oh, yeah, about the cache. Well, it's a small plastic camoed container, about 1.5" x 2.5" x 3.5", and it's VERY EASY to reach -- and to find. Only, it isn't at the coordinates posted above. You'll have to do some research to figure that one out. Please bring a writing instrument with you to sign the log. For various reasons, the coords might be off a few feet -- check the obvious location first.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Good luck, and have fun!!

Additional Hints (Decrypt)

[In the spirit of all those OTHER puzzle caches out there, absolutely NO HINTS will be supplied, to anybody, for any reason. Ever. Ya got that? Good. So, don't ask! And please don't give anything away in your logs, or I'll be FORCED to delete them -- and I REALLY don't want to do that.]
