The cache is hidden very near to where the River Meese joins the
River Tern and flows onwards to join with the River Severn. It's a
stunning location with water meadows full of wild flowers at the
moment.
You may, or may not, need some special equipment to retrieve the
cache - don't worry, it's nothing technical (decode the hint to get
a clue what might be involved). We've reflected the possible need
for specialist equipment in the terrain rating ;-). We have a
spoiler picture showing what you will need to do to get the cache
but did not want to put it on the cache page and ruin the fun. If
you want to see it before you go, simply email us using our GC.com
profile link.
We recommend making this into a circular walk. Suggested parking
is on the hard standing at the side of the road in Great Bolas
(approx N52 47.318 W2 31.347). Head towards the obvious
church tower, which is the church of St John's at Bolas Magna.
Follow the track down to the stile at N52 47.139 W2 31.856 before continuing to our
Meesechievous - One Good Tern... cache.
From there, follow the Tern round to where the River Tern and
River Meese meet at approx N52 47.025 W2 32.232. Then onwards to our
Meesechievous - About Tern and Meesechievous - Wild Drover caches. Continue
along the Public Footpath, which eventually leads back to the road
(the footpath goes through someone's back garden at Bolas Bridge
cottage so please respect the owner's privacy and we'd ask that you
do not do the cache at night, for obvious reasons). Follow the road
back up the hill to the suggested parking location.
