fidian: The cache is done-for. Letting go of the area in the hopes that another cacher hides something.
This one was probably destroyed partly because of the new path bringing people near the hide.

I have not visited this place much since the housing has gone up. The difficulty of not being blatantly obvious may get increasingly difficult in proportion to the number of people that move in.
Yep, this is my most boring cache in Watertown, but I thought that the walk near the river would be fun.
This cache is also part of the Watertown History Cache. If you intend on doing the series, I suggest you take one of the prepared packages that should be with the log book.

There was a canning factory built in Watertown in 1918. It later was taken over by the Minnesota Valley Canning Company in 1927, and later renamed the Green Giant Company.
