Digger, aka "Sky Schemer"
February 19th, 1994 - April 14th, 2007
|
This cache is a memorial to our first adopted, ex-racing
greyhound Digger, aka "Sky Schemer", whom we lost on April 14th,
2007. He accompanied us on nearly all of our local cache finds up
to that point, in the process experiencing such adventures as a
swim through the streams of the Sandy River Delta and an attack of
bees near Pittock Mansion (don't worry, he was fine, and so were
we).
Inside the cache container is a small, laminated photo album
with pictures of Digger and a log book for signing. You are
encouraged to bring a picture of your own pet, past or present, and
leave it in the cache for others to see (though weatherproofing
your photo first is recommended).
Please leave the photos in the cache.
Travel bugs and other "trackables" are always welcome, but
please save your toys and trade items for other caches.
The container is a green ammo box. Depending on how you approach
the cache, the terrain can be anything from 2 to 3 stars. The
Wildwood route will be easiest and flattest (and probably best for
kids) but longer. The more direct route will involve some
elevation.
Feeling really gutsy? Come up from US-30 (but note that there's no
parking at the BPA Rd trailhead).
