Introduction After
spending a lot of time looking at Cool
Cache Containers in the Geocaching forums, I was inspired
to create a cache series I call Escape From Tradition.
This is a series of four caches, a micro, a small and a
regular size cache all containing information to let you find
the fourth Bonus Mystery cache. While
the first three are considered traditional caches, they are
far from traditional. I tried to come up with some unique and
creative ways to hide caches. While I am sure there are some
caches that have been hidden in a similar way, I have never
seen anything quite like these. You are not going to find
these caches by looking under piles of sticks. I do however
want people to be able to find them so I will give hints that
should allow a sharp eyed cache seeker to find the prize.
Also, this is a Wildlife Management Area where hunting is
allowed so please be safe and wear orange while in the area.
The Cache This is the
second in my Escape From Tradition series. After finding
Escape From Tradition #1, continue following the dirt road until
you come to a trail on your left. Follow the trail a short distance
and begin your search. The container is a 16 ounce plastic jar with
a screw on lid. There is a log book and pencil and a few small
trade items to start. Please trade even or trade up. Check the
inside of the lid for the information needed to find the Bonus
Mystery cache. Also, as with Escape From Tradition #1, check the
back of the stash note for an encryted clue (ROT13) to help you
find the next cache in the series. Please be sure to replace
everything as you found it so the next cachers can enjoy the hunt
as much as you did.
