Creek Crossing Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

The new Dusky-footed Woodrat Trail in Pulgas Ridge Open Space Preserve has opened.
You can check out the lower part of the trail on the way to this cache!

The walk to this cache is shady, fairly flat, and goes through oak woodlands along a creek, into Dusky-footed Woodrat territory.

GPSr reception is spotty here, so your coordinates may vary, but if you stay up and away from the poison oak you'll be in the right place.
  • Standard Open Space warnings apply: there are ticks, rattlesnakes, mountain lions, and poison oak in this preserve. Be prepared.
  • Park hours are dawn to 1/2 hour after sunset.
  • The cache in NOT hidden in or near anything that looks like a pile of sticks - most of the big piles of sticks are Woodrat nests, and should be left alone.
  • Cache is a camoed container, accessible without risk of poison oak.
