Kitville was on the border of Hassanamisco, and was close by to the last settlement of the Nipmuc Tribe and the battlefield of Keith Hill, where the Battle of Kieth Hill was fought between the British and the Nipmuc Indians.

Kitville no longer exists but was found on the 1831 Map and Topo maps. Hassanamisco later became Grafton.

Kitville Pond was one of 2 sources ice for the town of Grafton. The other was lake Ripple and then was distributed at Whitney's Place in the Farm District of Grafton.
It is current the Grafton Town beach with swimming and boating. During the summer months Parking at the beach is restricted by permit, those without town permits will have to pay for parking.
However, there are pull offs along Rte 140-Upton Road, Please be careful if you decide to do this as this is a very busy road. Appropriate parking for those without permit is a right of way off of Nantucket Place.

Kitville received its name because early shoe-making tools - called "kits" - were manufactured there. and was likely used at the Forbush Shoe Company of Grafton
