Geocache Description:

Magnetic cache placed in La Honda. Easy parking.

Welcome to The Soggy Log Saloon cache.

It was a hot Saturday night. A local western trio was playing to an ecceltic crowd of geocachers. "Git along little nano's..." sang the tall blonde vocalist as her partner played the stand up bass. A coyote could be heard howling with great pathos outside in the distance. The moon was full and the night sky clear.

At a large wooden table in the back corner of the saloon, far from the levity of the dinner crowd, sat a wiley group of geocachers focused on a mean game of 'Go Fish'. The stakes, (or shall I say fillets), were pretty high. No one wanted to lose this round.

With the aplomb of a bishop, the bartendar called out, 'One last call for lemonade, folks. We close in 30 minutes.' No one at the table paid any mind to the bartender. They were all intent on the cards, and whether anyone had the winning hand.

Then without warning, "Somebody's cheatin'!", claimed one of the players. With these words everyone froze, as if muggles were approaching unexpectedly.

Then in one sweeping motion, the CITO Bandito, disguised as one of the players, grabbed the edge of the table and flipped it into the air. Playing cards and geocoins flew off the table to the dusty floor of the saloon. Everyone scrambled like geocoin collectors at a new coin release.

Well, this is how that hot Saturday night began at the Soggy Log Saloon. To find out how the story ends, view the movie made by local geocachers called The Good, The Bad, and The GeoCache (GC13364)

To find the Soggy Log Saloon cache, just grab the coords posted here and your GPS! Have fun, and as they say at the saloon, "May all the logs you find be dry ones." Happy trails.

Special note 1: Thanks to the owners of La Honda House (www.lahondahouse.com) for allowing us to film inside their restaurant. It's not really a saloon :-) If you are lucky enough to come by when they are open I highly recommend their food. Oh, and they do know about the cache outside.

Special note 2: Thanks to geodanimal, mini cacher, and KennyHannahJacobKatie for the cache title!
