Mark your calendars for Indiana’s 6th Annual Fall Picnic.

The fun filled weekend will begin with a Friday evening Meet and Greet and Night Cache sponsored by InKy & IndiGo. Join the crew for a nice bonfire, hot dogs and a homemade veggie soup pitch-in.

Saturday’s Fall Picnic will be a day of fun, socializing and events. The day’s agenda should keep everyone entertained.

DATE: September 8th
TIME: Registration: 9:00 a.m.
Event Kick-Off: 10:00 a.m.
LOCATION: Memorial Park, New Castle, Indiana
WAYPOINTS: Park Entrance: N 39 56.724 W 085 23.083
Shelter: N 39 56.975 W 085 23.190

Events for the day include:

Pitch-In Lunch

In order to insure a diverse menu, we have divided the menu into categories based on your last name. If your last name begins with:
A-R, please a family size homemade side dish
S-Z, please bring a family size dessert.

Everyone should bring meat and non-alcoholic drinks for you and your family. We will provide plasticware, plates, napkins, condiments and charcoal for grills. A pitch-in only works if everyone who eats at the buffet has contributed. Last year, we ran out of food and a number of people had nothing to eat. So please, if you do not bring something to contribute to the buffet, please don’t eat. You may want to consider bringing a sack lunch for yourself.

Youth Challenge

(Ages 12-18) – It’s time to put you guys to the challenge. Put on your thinking cap and prove you’re up to the challenge.

Kid’s Challenge

(11 and under) – Kids get to put their geocaching skills to the challenge in this area created just for their age group. Parents are encouraged to help their young geocacher through the challenge.

GeoSurvivor

(Ages 18+) – Applications will be accepted through September 5th. Participation is limited to cachers 18 years and older. A drawing will be held to determine participants and will be announced at the picnic kick-off on September 8th at 10:00 a.m. All participants MUST be at the picnic kick-off. To register for Geo-Survivor, email daggy@insightbb.com no later than September 5th at 11:00 p.m.

Prizes & Raffles

Everyone is asked to bring a donation for the prize table. Eighteen and older will be considered an adult for the prizes.

So CHILDREN aren't left out, anyone with children is be asked to bring an AGE APPROPRIATE donation for their children. For example, if you have a nine-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl, you would bring two donations. One would be appropriate for a ten-year-old girl and one for a nine-year-old boy.

We've had some amazing donations for raffles and donations in the past. If you are planning on one of those extra special donations, please let us know as soon as possible.

Event Caches

Local cachers will place permanent event caches. Look for these to be published a few days before the event.

The Planning Team is excited about the day's event. So come join the fun. We will be waiting there for you. This
is a family event. No drinking, no guns.
