What a great wintery time to spend by a warm fire sharing Mulled Wine. This wont be the first time we camped in the winter in the Pyrenees area.
For those who may be interested, we will be camping nice largish camping ground near Mt Cole called 'Ditchfield Camping ground' on Queens Birthday long weekend 8-11th June.
Its easy to find and accessable by 2wd.
At Beaufort, turn right Just before the Mobil Garage and head to Raglan. Turn left at Mt Cole Raglan Rd, sign says Ditchfield Camping Ground 6-7klm.
There is a large grassy cleared area suitable for tents, area for trailers and caravans, fireplaces, all weather hut with a fire place, Water tank with water (may not be suitable for drinking) & Pit toilets. As it will be winter come well prepared, warm clothing and bedding, BYO everything.
We were there today (22/4)and it was misty and foggy but the fire was going in the hut, nice and warm.
There will be no planned activities, feel free to do anything you wish.......... 4x4 if tracks are still open, or go hide or find some caches.
As its State Forest Dogs are permitted.
