Geocache Description:

You can find the cache in a hillside, near the top of the hill that is above the Four-Brothers spring (Négy-testvér forrás). The hillside is very steep and it is a slippery one bacause of loess soil especially when it’s raining. The cache is located in the hollow of a lime-tree (linden) and is covered by dead lives and branches.

Approaching (from Kaposvár)
You drive on the No67 highway southward in the direction of Szigetvár and you just leave Kaposvár. You drive uphill and you turn right in the direction of Töröcske village. You drive 600 m distance and you find a grass-covered parking place (N46° 19,814' E017° 47,358') to the right at the local bus-stop.

The Gyertyános-forest
You can find mainly hornbeam and linden trees here. To the thanks of thinned out trees, you can be enraptured by the scenery of water-ravine valleys and steep hills.

The public footpath
You go into the Gyertyános-forest eastward opposite to the parking place. You will find the footpath signed with red stripe. You go along and you find the blue square signed path in the valley. You are going East and you find the Four-Brother spring. You can drink the water of it. There is a little lake (Hódos-tó / Hódos-lake) and an other spring (Köér-forrás / Köér-spring) near the Four-Brothers spring too.

Four Brothers
In 2007. year you can tribute to four broters who are heroes of Hungarian history – they were sons of Hungarian king Árpád. The four brothers died in the course of wars of Hungarian Reconquest. The three of them (Jutas, Üllő and Tarhos) died in the course of Battle of Pozsony against Germans 1100 years ago, in 907 (the fourth brother, Levente died earlier, in 895 in the war against Bulgarians). Thanks to the Pozsony victory the success of Hungarian Reconquest got definitive once and for all.
