Geocache Description:

The parking spot that was near the gates was washed away by the tropical storm Irene... you now may need to park a short distance back up the road from the gates... please try not to block any side roads...

When parking please be careful not to block the gate.
Landowner restricts access to property to daylight hours only. Please respect this.
Cache is probably not handicap accessable.
Cache has 5 scratch-off tickets, 1 for each of the 1st 5 finders. Cache has room for a few tiny trade items.
Cache is a simple, basic cache, located near the top of the Cavendish Gorge on the Black River. The gorge is described on a sign at the power plant as about 1050 feet long, with water sculptured rocks, huge boulders, and in places, sheer rock walls 50-80 feet high.
The cache isn't located in or on the edge of the gorge, but cachers with small children and/or pets with them might want to skip this cache since the area does have the potential for falls or other serious situations.
After finding this cache you should take a couple of minutes, and continue a 100 feet or so further to an overlook of the top of the gorge; impressive view of the gorge and a small waterfall.
After finding the cache, don't even THINK about trying to bushwhack over the gorge to the companion cache (...And Down the Other). It'll only take you a few minutes to return to your vehicle and drive to the parking co-ords. for the other cache.
