Geocache Description:

Cache involves an emotional find, a mysterious structure, math and bushwhacking!

Coordinates given are for the first stage of this two-stage cache that takes you along a piece of the old Boston-to-Albany stagecoach route.

Park at the end of Ireland Street Extension in Chesterfield. Please make sure you don't block the road, so the farmer's tractor can still pass by. Be mindful of Massachusetts hunting season, since the cache is on Mass Wildlife-managed property, which allows hunting.

Stay on the main trail to pay your respects to lonely Laura. (If you want to pay your respects to Ebenezer later, he's a permanent resident on Goss Hill Road in Worthington.)

To locate the cache, you'll need to find TWO inscribed items within the enclosure, one earlier and one later.

Calculate the coordinates for the cache as follows:

1)Take the 594 from the latitude for Laura and subtract ABC, where A is the number of men mentioned on the metal plaque and BC is the age given on the stone. 594 - ABC = DEF, which plugs into the latitude for the cache like this: 42 degrees 20.DEF.

2)The longitude for the cache is 072 degrees 52.GHI, where GH is the day of the month mentioned on the stone and I is three times the number of women mentioned on both inscriptions.

Coordinates for the cache require you to bushwhack to a stone structure whose purpose we have been unable to determine. Your ideas are welcome! There's also a cellar hole not far from the stone structure.

Good luck!
