Geocache Description:

A quick stop along Highway #8.

As a kid, we used to drive up to Gimli quite often to visit cousins and spend weekends at my parents cottage. We would drive up Highway #8 because there were less speed zones than on Highway #9. Of course, we wouldn't get very far out of the city and we'd already start asking "Are We There Yet?"

I noticed there weren't very many caches along #8, so I called up a couple friends of mine to see if they wanted to go for a drive with me, and off we went in search of hiding spots. I can see why there weren't many caches there - all there is is fields and farm yards. Managed to find a couple spots though, so here's your chance to stop and stretch your legs if your kids are starting to get cranky.

Cache is a medium sized lock & lock container. Please do not cut through the farmer's field to get to the cache. It can be accessed easily by walking along the outside of the trees by the ditch.

This cache was created to add to the number of QUALITY caches hidden in Manitoba. It is an official cache in the MBGA Cache Splash event.
Category 36: Kid-friendly cache or a cache hidden by a kid.
