Vivez une douce aventure au coeur des Laurentides. Le parc national du Canada de la Mauricie vous convie à une rencontre intime avec les Laurentides, cette chaîne de montagnes qui longe la rive nord du fleuve Saint-Laurent. Ce territoire de 536 km2 dégage une grande sérénité, inspirée par la douceur de son relief. Dans ce vaste plateau ondulé de collines, entrecoupé de vallées et paré d'une multitude de lacs, la vie s'écoule au rythme de la nature. Seules les saisons viennent troubler le passage du temps en retouchant les moindres détails du paysage. Ce lieu de ressourcement invite à l'action autant qu'à la détente. Depuis sa création en 1970, le parc garantit à ce territoire généreux le respect de son intégrité. Il préserve ainsi un échantillon représentatif de la région la plus méridionale du Bouclier canadien. Bienvenue dans ce havre de paix !
ÎLE-AUX-PINS. Aller-retour de 0,5 km
Menant à un point de vue exceptionnel, ce sentier descend abruptement jusqu'à un belvédère aménagé à même la falaise surplombant le lac Wapizagonke et la minuscule île aux Pins. Prévoir 30 minutes. Facile.
Parcs Canada a des règles strictes concernant le Geocaching. Premièrement, il n'y a aucun objet à échanger dans la cache. Vous ne pouvez placer d'objet non plus. Il n'y a qu'un carnet pour vous recenser, un crayon, un taille-crayon et un message éducatif. Espérant que vous aimerez.
Depuis le 28 septembre 2007, il est permis de placer des caches dans les Parcs Canadiens. Voir lignes directrices.

La Mauricie National Park of Canada
Enjoy the Adventure of a Lifetime in the Heart of the Laurentians La Mauricie National Park invites you to a close encounter with the Laurentians, the chain of mountains flanking the northern shore of the St. Lawrence River. Covering an area of 536 km2, the park gives off an air of serenity throughout its gently contoured terrain. On this vast plateau of rolling hills intersected by valleys and dotted with myriads of lakes, life moves in perfect unison with nature. Here only the changes of the seasons mark the passage of time, retouching the landscape with subtle strokes and calling visitors with a promise of both activity and relaxation. Since its creation in 1970, the park has safeguarded the continuing integrity of this richly endowed land, protecting it as a representative sample of the southernmost part of the Canadian Shield. ÎLE-AUX-PINS
A superb lookout is yours to enjoy at the end of this trail built as a combination of boardwalk and stair walkway. The trail descends steeply until opening onto a scenic, cliffside viewpoint overlooking Lac Wapizagonke and a tiny Île aux Pins. Plan an half-hour walk. Easy
Remember that Parks Canada have restricted guidelines, first, there is nothing to exchange in the cache and your are not allowed to put something in it. In the cache there is only a pencil, a pencil-sharpener and a educative message. Hope you will enjoy.
