Mile 2: Hangin' Out in Corydon Park Traditional Geocache

EC-JEMS: The mean neighbor wins :(

Sorry fellow geocachers, REALLY, my neighbors are great, kind, caring and happy people. Apparently, one is not. After getting another contact about a geocacher that was approached by a neighbor and told they were not welcome on this private property (cache placed with approval of neighborhood association president, by the way), I have decided to pull the cache. Hopefully it will reincarnate in another location! As I was taking it down tonight in the dark, I was approached by a neighbor wondering if everything was okay (CARING!) when she realized who I was, she greeted me (KIND!) with a smile (HAPPY!) and after I explained why it was coming down, she said that was too bad and that her niece does geocaching and had found this cache and showed her where it was (GREAT! someone who "gets it"!)

Geocaching is fun, that is why we do it. Being harangued is not fun. I am sorry that some people don't "get it." But to spare others the discomfort, this cache is Archived.

Geocache Description:

Easily accessible just off the road.

This cache is part of the "Miles" series of caches. I say a series, but they are all only very loosely linked. The miles are the number of miles they are from Zuma's house and they all obtain a clue to find HBZ 51. To obtain the last 5 digits of the north coordinates for HBZ 51 you must add up the clues found in the caches Mile 1 through Mile 25. To obtain the last 5 digits of the west coordinates you must add up all of the clues found in the caches Mile 26 through Mile 50. HBZ 51 was placed by WI_Robin, but the caches you must find to get to it are a coordinated effort of many local cachers. Happy Birthday Zuma

Welcome to Corydon Park! This is a neighborhood managed park on the south side of Eau Claire. They have done a great job of prairie restoration and a short nature trail balanced with a kid/adult user friendly atmosphere. A small play area and a ballpark that becomes a skating rink in the winter completes the picture. The kids love to hang out here all year long as does this well-camouflaged micro. Bring your own pen/pencil, there's just enough room for a small log.

3-26-2010 changed difficulty to reflect that it is not on a paved surface or handicap accessible. Also, due to cutting and trimming in the area, changed part of the description to retain 3 difficulty.
