Geocache Description:

Situated on the Eastern Hills of Lower Hutt a short distance up the fire break. Park at the end of Summit Rd, Fairfield.

This cache is a theme cache and is expressly for digital swaps eg. anything on a Compact Disc ( DVDs, CDs, Computer Software). Swaps mean exactly that. Please don’t take from the cache or add to the cache without an exchange. You can add or take coins or TB’s but make sure everything fits and the lid seals correctly. PLEASE DO NOT ADD ANY OTHER STUFF ( eg plastic animals, other clutter ).

We have been asked to add the following: "No Pirate/bootleg/ripped discs' in this cache please." refer to Geocaching guidelines for further info.

Cache is a 3 litre camo’d Sismema container. Please cover it again before you leave. When established it contained;
DVD – The Elvis Story
CD – Pop Hits 2002
CD – 20 Power Hits
2 CD set – The best of Van Morrison
Geo Coin - Nero

In case you are interested the cache is sited near the Naenae reservoir which was established in 1946. At some stage you will be standing directly on top of 2 ½ million litres of Hutt Aqua. It also might interest you to know that the gate that you will need to go through on Summit Road was the site of the final stand off between Police and Graham Burton. It is here where he was shot by Police after coming down the fire break you will need to climb. We always find visiting this area both poignant and a little eerie.
