I thought it would be fun to see how many new cache sites I could find near to Mills in my local area. These will include Watermills and Windmills, some still in use, some now used for other purposes. Most mills are sited in nice surroundings, so I hope you will enjoy visiting them. I will be adding new caches to this series over the next few months.
All the micros are hidden right on public footpaths. None of them will be very close to private houses. Some of them are near public highways, but many are along private roadways, with only footpath access. Please park considerately, and do not drive along any private roads to access the caches.
Lowfield Heath Windmill was moved from Lowfield Heath to nearby Charlwood in 1987. The cache is hidden on the edge of Glovers Wood, in a spot with a good view of the windmill. I would suggest that you park in Glovers Road and take the footpath from here to Glovers Wood. Then take the woodland path on the left at the start of the wood. Glovers Wood is a super safe place for walking the dog, as it is quite big, with lots of paths, and there are no roads nearby.
