Welcome to Neenah’s Riverfront!
Whether you are a guest at the (former) Holiday Inn Neenah Riverwalk, an avid cacher, or a homegrown Nee-nite, this is a very good cache for those who enjoy a little history and a little challenge. It’s definitely not a grab-n-go. Learn about area history as you make your way around Neenah’s revitalized Shattuck Park.
Local philanthropist Clara Shattuck rescued the land, which had become an industrial dump, and donated it to the city in 1915. The park, which sits on prime riverfront real estate, fell into decline as early as the mid-20th century. In 2001, efforts took flight to make the area what it is today.
Enjoy your walk around the fruits of many people’s efforts. The Riverwalk allows you to be able to walk a loop from Shattuck park east to the Oak Street bridge, to the north side of the river, to Commercial Street back to the park.

This cache rates four stars for patience and calculation. It rates three stars for the terrain in the area where the cache is hidden. The Final is between one and two miles from Shattuck Park…fair warning! The destination appears to be blighted, but it is public land. Park in the lot as your GPS leads you directly toward the spot. Cache is a long, cylindrical Lock n' Lock jar. Cache has permission of Neenah Parks and Recreation Department.

9/7/2020 Cache Page Update: Due to the development of the location of the Final, please solve the puzzle as described above. That will give you the historical coordinates of the cache back when it was a blighted area and now receives many guests daily.

When you put in the successful coordinates for the puzzle solve, the geochecker will give you the correct new coordinates to the new Final location.
