A gentle stroll through the woods and up and down the crags. A perfect way to pass an hour or so. Could be done much quicker, there are cycle tyre tracks on the path, just watch the corners and mind the drop :)

There are some amazing views from up here, which help explain away any required 'get your breathe back' stops as 'I'm just stopping to admire the view'. There are also lots of trees and at certain times of year lots of midges.

Parking is available in a lay-by at N56° 04.042 W003° 59.798, there is further parking just over the brow of the hill.

This track is well used by walkers, dog walkers and cyclists, alike. There were even people out in fishing boats on the reservoir this afternoon until it started to rain and then they all headed back to land fairly quickly. Us being hardy geocachers out in t-shirts, just got wet

There is, at the time of placing, a note pad on the trig point, which people are signing to say they have visited. Have no idea what is all about, but we signed it anyway.

The walk through the forest and then along the upper quarry path was amazing. Had to decide which way to go initially but once I had it worked out I thoroughly enjoyed the walk. Looked at the wrong tree to begin with but soon found the right one. Rested a wee bit here to have my lunch and marveled at the view - if only it was a clear day. Will definitely be back under clearer conditions.

Lots of possible locations fitted the clue but one stood out and sure enough it was right. Brilliant views today in a still clear air - I love the high level promenade along the cliff top here.

What a fantastic walk me and the Fatdog had getting to this cache. This has been one of the best I've done so far. Pick a good day for this one and you're on a winner. Many thanks for setting this one up - it deserves many more visits.

Anyone wanting to see photos of the walk can see them here (visit link)
