Geocache Description:

A flat easy walk from nearest parking. Some sand/gravel walking involved. Excellent views and a nice trip out.

This is our first cache location, I hope you enjoy finding it as much as we did placing it.

A twisty, narrow road leads to ample car parking but beware, the access road to this location is submerged depending on the tides, check times and conditions before visiting.

Please take care when you locate it not to disturb the surrounding bushes too much as it might make the location too easy to be spotted by muggles.
Take care when discovering as it is easy for other folks to wander upon you, you may not hear them approaching!
Please use the stones and wood surrounding the box to secure and hide it again.

Once you park your car it is about a 1 mile walk to the cache location (toilets at the car park too!). Head towards the grave site. Most walking is firm underfoot until you reach the beach. It's not a long walk along the beach to the cache site but it may be tough going with a pram.

On your way back there is a nice pub which you can stop at for a snack or drink.

This location is steeped in history, an excerpt from the above web page descibes it well:-
"Just over a mile of single track road winding over the mud flats and sand marshes connects it to the mainland at low tide. It's hard to imagine that once ships from the West Indies and North America docked here, plying their trade in cotton, sugar and human lives as part of the infamous 18th century slave trade. But there are reminders, and most of the people who come are looking for Sambo's Grave."
