Easy hike (1.5 mile RT at the most) to a vantage point. At one time, it was possible to drive to this trailhead. Unfortunately, that is absolutely no longer possible, so there is a short hike.
Take the Fossil Creek exit from Hwy 87 north of Payson. The road is gravel for about 8 miles, and is easily managed by a passenger car. If you're into stargazing, this is a great place for it, but night caching may be tough. Trail leads to a hidden secret of northern Arizona, and this cache is to highlight that adventure. Take plenty of water!
