Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series based on the idea of Portkeys from the Harry Potter Books. Portkeys are enchanted objects, often a piece of supposedly worthless junk, which when touched transports a person to a preprogrammed location. (Thanks to Harry Potter Lexicon For Description)

This cache was hidden on July 4th,2007. We should try to keep in mind those still serving in Iraq- and support them any way we can. And don't forget those who are serving our country all over the world, or those who served at any time in the past. And we shouldnt forget the many civilians who are and have served in military zones as I was reminded by mwfong ! I'm sure not many people would actually like to visit Iraq at this time, but it would be nice if some of our thoughts could be sent there.

This cache is located off a class 5 road (please see pictures of restrictions) in Epping. The area is very sandy in parts- reminding me a little of Iraq. You can see where people have fun on 4 wheelers and with 4 wheel drive trucks (I don't recommend this as many get stuck/or in trouble) [{:)] , but it is a good walking area and can be biked (watching for sandy areas) I wondered if those in Iraq get a chance for some fun like this. It can be a shortcut to get to Rte 87 in a more westerly location. I listed this as kid friendly- there is trash along the way, I didn't specifically see any broken glass- but be aware.

Cache is a portkey more typically used by those in the armed forces- please rehide well- will be more visible come winter time. Filled with soldiers, snakes, and some other items.

For FTF/STS/TTF - A 5$ where's george bill (first on I've seen worth more than a dollar) to help with increasing gas prices , H2O rings, and there is a geocoin (new one of mine) minted in memory of a Canadian geocacher- Tony Dawe (1701eh).
